After a while, crafting in video games gets old. It isn't enough. You want to go for bigger and bigger thrills. It starts slow, you watch a couple of youtube instructional videos telling yourself it's just for fun. Next time you know, you're knee deep in leather cuttings, you've developed callosities all over your hands, your friends receive exclusively hand-made gifts, and you can't stop, much less want to.

Most things below I've already sold or gave away and the photographs give me some nice memories.

Opinel No9 is a simple yet beautiful pocket knife. Having high-carbon blade and beech handle makes it also suitable for modding. With this one, I added similarly looking bubble pattern both to its blade and handle.

A leather belt pouch I made for my daughter. Finished this one in record time because I had a client waiting.

A large (17x17x8 cm) viking-themed belt pouch. Made of 3.5mm leather with a deer antler tip on a leather cord to secure the flap.

This one I made for myself, quite spontaneously, to keep my designs in. It just wraps around an A5-sized notebook. It feels very heavy in the hand, looks rugged and inspiring.

The belt is quite long (about 160cm) and is made of thick (4mm) leather. It doesn’t have any holes in it and is supposed to get fastened by tying it around your waist using a steel ring attached to one of the ends.

Like I said, medieval style.

8mm firesteel with handles of various materials (deer antler, rowan, curly birch). Each is accompanied by a leather pouch to store lint in.

Hand-carved wooden rings made of birch, oak, zebra wood and olive, surrounded by semi-finished blanks that I’ve never found time to finish completely.
